William Shakespeare's Macbeth
This website will help the College English class to read and interpret Shakespeare's Macbeth.
A thrilling tale of murder and mayhem set in Scotland, Macbeth is arguably the most violent of Shakespeare's plays. Roman Polanski, the director of a famous cinema adaptation of Macbeth claims he sees Macbeth, "as a young, open-faced warrior, who is gradually sucked into a whirlpool of events because of his ambition. When he meets the weird sisters and hears their prophecy, he's like the man who hopes to win a million-a gamble for high stakes."
