The Galena Unit School District #120 is thrilled to formally recognizing the first ever Pirate Pride Award for Distinguished Alumni. This award is for graduates who have impacted society in a positive manner after high school through their outstanding accomplishments and contributions. In partnership with the Galena Education Foundation, the following criteria were developed: Recognition for graduates (out of school a minimum of 10 years) is based on their contributions, accomplishments, and impact in life after graduation through any of the following areas: Community, State, National or World Impact, Professional Careers, Military Service, Humanitarian Contributions, Leadership Positions/Actions, or Intercollegiate Accomplishments.
This year's winners are: Tracy Bauer '92, Brandon Behlke '11, Dennis Davenport '65, Pete Kieffer '61 and John Cox '65.
